The Monaco Motor Show 2017: An Exciting New Addition to Monaco’s Calendar of Events

Residents of Monaco are used to an exciting calendar of events year round and this year, there are even more to look forward to. Car enthusiasts who have invested in Monte Carlo real estate are fortunate that a brand new international car show is coming to the Principality. The open-air Salon International de l’Automobile de Monaco (SIAM) will take place from 16th-19th February 2017. Those who live in apartments in Monte-Carlo will be right on the doorstep of a huge exhibition of top-of-the-range vehicles since the event will be held across eleven central locations including Quai Albert 1, the Grimaldi Forum and the Casino Square.

The Motor Show is scheduled to take place between big shows like Detroit’s North American International Auto Show in January and the International Motor Show in Geneva during March. So far 50 registered brands and prestigious partners have signed up and several thousand tickets have already sold, indicating the event is already a success. The organisers Expo Monaco and the DMC, Raising Stones Events, anticipate that 100,000 visitors will attend. Guests and exhibitors will include car manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, investors and CEOs of innovative companies. The SIAM acronym is short for the French language equivalent of “Salon International Autos Monaco” and it has the full support of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, the local government and numerous corporate partners such as EDF, Michelin and Air France-KLM.

This landmark first Monaco International Motor Show aims to promote the sustainable and responsible development of prestige vehicles. It’s taking account of the new ecological consciousness and hopes to reduce the automobile industry’s environmental impact. It will feature cutting-edge cars designed using avant-garde technologies. Fantastic new cars will be available for test drives on some of the roads that comprise the legendary Monaco Grand Prix circuit. SIAM will also hold high-level conferences and debates organised with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation at the Grimaldi Forum based around the theme of sustainability and innovation.

The show will be open to the public from 10am to 7pm every day of the event and tickets are available online. Electric shuttles will transport visitors between exhibitions which include famous names such as Porsche, Tesla, Lexus, Bentley and more.
