Monaco’s new district Marterra inaugurated by Prince Albert

mareterra-new-development-monacoThe six-hectare Mareterra eco-district has been inaugurated by H.S.H Prince Albert II, transforming Monaco’s coastline and concluding a 10-year project dubbed one of the most ambitious in Europe.

Masterminded and overseen by Valode & Pistre Architects, Mareterra has increased the size of the Principality of Monaco by 3% and offers luxury residences and refined amenities amidst lush landscaping.

Despite the vast scale of the reported $2 billion project, the development, formerly known as Portier Cove, has been completed six months ahead of schedule.

Described as “….an exceptional project, a once-in-a-lifetime project” by Denis Vaolode, co-founder of Valode et Pistre Architects, Mareterra sets a new standard for luxury, eco-friendly living in Monaco.
