Monaco is arguably one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with majestic five star hotels, pristine parks and a stunning coastline every which way you turn. Its unique position nestled into the Maritime Alps also means that there are some wonderful spots from which to take in these incredible Monaco views, and the breathtaking scenery all around.
On every street corner and around every bend there is something to look at, be that an example of Belle Epoque architecture, a picturesque cobbled street or an azure stretch of water lapping on the shore.
In fact, there are almost no Monaco views that wouldn’t look out of place in a glossy magazine. To discover these vistas for yourself, check out our list of where to find the best Monaco views below.
Here are the most exquisite Monaco views
Prince’s Palais
The Prince’s Palais, home to H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and his family, is situated on Le Rocher, an impressive rock which overlooks both Port Hercules to the left, and Fontvieille, to the right. Located on the site of a fortress built by the Genovese in 1215, the Prince’s Palace offers the perfect spot from which to look over much of the Principality including Monaco’s harbour, filled to the brim with luxurious and eye-popping superyachts. Visits to the Prince’s Palace are currently not running, but they are planned to re-start in April 2021.
Rue des Remparts
Walking away from the Prince’s Palais with the majestic residence behind you, you will find another of our favourite Monaco views on Rue des Remparts. This small street winds along the edges of Monaco-Ville and looks down on the harbour below. As you walk the length of the road the perspective changes, looking out towards the Yacht Club de Monaco and beyond.
Musée Océanographique
We don’t just recommend a visit to the Musée Océanographique for the incredible marine life! Views from the rooftop terrace are some of the best around, taking in the Mediterranean Sea, the Principality of Monaco and the surrounding mountains. Grab an ice-cream or a drink while you take in the breathtaking Monaco views.
Le Vistamar Terrace Hermitage Hotel
Another favourite for taking in the Monaco scenery is from the Vistamar Terrace at the five star Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. The spacious terrace of the exquisite hotel offers incredible views over Port Hercules towards the Rock and is the ideal spot from which to enjoy the Monaco skyline at night with a glass of delicious Provencal wine.
Jardin Exotique
A completely different perspective over Monaco can be enjoyed during a walk through the Jardin Exotique, a botanical garden located on a cliff-side at the entrance to the Principality. The garden has been a focal point of Monaco since it was completed in 1933 and offers stunning views over Port Hercules and beyond.
From the privacy of your Monaco penthouse
Arguably the best place to take in the many magnificent views is from the privacy of your own Monaco penthouse. Marvel at the beauty of this unique country nestled between snow-capped mountains and blue sea without even having to step out the door.
