How far to the Nearest Golf club from Monaco?

It’s probably not the first sport you would associate with Monaco, but there is in fact a plethora of excellent golf courses near the Principality to cater for all ages and abilities of golfers.

Indeed, Monaco might well be the second smallest and most densely populated country in the world but beyond the high rise apartment blocks and skyscrapers are at least half a dozen golf clubs within an hour’s drive from the city centre.

Golf de Monte-Carlo, La Turbie

The closest course to Monaco is the Golf de Monte-Carlo, located on the Route du Mont Agel in La Turbie. The course, which lies at 900 metres, is open all year round and enjoys some of the best views of any club in the world. Golf Club de San Remo

The next closest golf course to Monaco will suit those of you who feel more familiar in Italian than in French. Located in San Remo, just 28km from Monaco, the Golf de San Remo boats an extremely good 18-hole course which was built in 1932. Royal Mougins Golf Club

With hotel, spa, golf club, and restaurant this 5-star golf club is just over 30 minutes from Monaco. She is part of the “Finest Golf Clubs in the World” and offers a 18-hole regulation golf course, designed by the world-renowned architect Robert von Hagge.

“The Royal Mougins Golf Course is a par 71 with a length of 6 004 m. Robert von Hagge has consciously used both the rolling hills and the lower, flatter forest area in the valley in order to create a golf course with a maximum of variety and different landscape scenarios. Perhaps the most famous golf club on the French Riviera is the prestigious Golf Country Club de Cannes-Mougins, an exclusive club set in beautiful parkland which was founded in 1923. This 18-hole club is approximately an hour’s drive from Monaco but well worth the trip. www.golfcannesmougins.com
